Both series is taken place in 90s and both are talking about the last years of youth and how they want to enjoy it.

The both dramas are about time travel. In the the drama A TIME CALLED YOU the female lead travels back in time with the help of the music player. In the drama TWINKLING WATERMELON the kain male lead travels back in time and performs a music band. The dramas are connected by music too.

Both intertangled love stories involving the leads past as they maneuver through hard thime then and now.

b: both have first time love and time travel only TW goes back to 1995 specifically and ATCY jumps back to the 80s then forward a few times like the early 2000s and on.

e: both series have strong bonds in it whether family or friends.
f: TW revolves around music - ATCU does not.
g: ATCU is about saving two lives that were tragically lost whereas TW is about changing fate if possible

I: ATCY is the only one with an evil person or two.
j: In TW the parents are deaf and run a small family restaurant whereas in ATCU the main female's parents don't really see passed their son and the main male's parents are typical parents I suppose.

Please watch this if you're looking for something to fill that empty void in your heart. This and 25-21. Both of them are not only simmilar to Twinkling Watermelon, but you'll also find the vibes, character dynamics and themes that are recurring.

Both drama has parents-child relationship. "TW" is Korean Drama, and "IDWTBFWY" is Chinese drama. The similarity are both dramas are about the son/daughter go back time travelling to the past to meet their father/mother.

TW - son-father relationship.

IDWTBFWY - daughter-mother relationship.

I think a lot about to be similar, because the "TW" are still ongoing, so i cannot tell just yet. But, i really RECOMMEND y'all to watch both dramas. Really worth to watch.
