On February 12th, Go Soo Jung’s agency Story J Company revealed to the public, through an Instagram post, that the actress had passed away due to a chronic illness.
The actress died on February 7th and a private funeral was held on February 9th, attended by family members and friends.
Go Soo Jung made her debut in the hit 2016 Korean drama Goblin and also had an appearance on another 2016 drama, Solomon's Perjury. She also was in the 2017 BTS' music video "With Seoul."
Story J Company agency, confirmed the news and released the following statement:
"The precious talent of storyj company has become a shining star in the sky. She was an actress with as pure and sweet a heart as anyone out there, and we will remember her and her bright smile that lit up the world forever.
Please wish her a safe passage. "
Story J Company is home to Korean stars such as Kim Tae Hee, Yoo Seung Ho, Kim Ji Suk, Park Min Jung, Bae Yoo Ram, Seo In Guk, Lee Si Eon and Lee Jin Hee.
